'Travelling to places is therapeutic for me. It does something to me that I will not be able to put into words.'
So, I travelled to Dubai in the first week of April. The weather was appropriate and not that hot and humid. My trip was for 5 days.
Following are the places I covered:
Dubai mall
Burj khalifa
Dubai Aquarium
Miracle Garden
Mall of Emirates
Ski Dubai
The Atlantis Palm
Nasimi beach
Jumeirah beach
Abu Dhabi
Sheikh Zayed Mosque
Yas Island (Ferrari world)
Desert Safari
Dubai Cruise
Day 1
I took a flight from Delhi which was for 3.5 hours. Dubai is a city and emirate in UAE which is known for its architecture, luxury shopping and nightlife. As I landed, I checked into my hotel Savoy Suites, got ready and left for the Dubai Mall. It is a huge mall which has Dubai aquamarine n underwater zoo and entry to Burj Khalifa as well.
Burj Khalifa is the tallest building in the world. It is 2722 ft tall. I went to the top floor (124th and 125th )and could see the whole city from up there. The elevator hardly took 15 seconds to reach 124th floor and as I went up I could feel the air pressure blocking my ears due to the high altitude.
After enjoying the beautiful sunset, I came down for the famous fountain show with jets and lights choreographed with music. It started at 7:30 pm and at the interval of every 20 mins there was another show. After that I witnessed the ultimate Burj Khalifa show.
I had a great time and whole vibe was so refreshing.
Day 2
I went to the Miracle garden which is a huge flower garden. Everything there is made up of over 50 million flowers and 250 million plants.
From Miracle garden, I went to the Mall of Emirates which is a luxury shopping hub. One can shop mostly all the designers and brands like Gucci, Prada, Elie Saab, etc.
It also has Ski Dubai which an indoor snow park. The temperature there is between -1 to 2 degrees. I was given special suit, gloves and boots to wear. Infact, if somebody wants to carry there phones inside to click pictures then they give you one plastic pouch as well for which one needs to pay some extra amount.
If anybody feels uneasy due to the cold then one can always come outside and go back in.
After leaving Mall of Emirates I went to see Atlantis Palm, Nasimi Beach and then lastly the Jumeirah Beach.
Day 3
My day 3 was all in Abu Dhabi. I left early that morning and took a day tour in Abu Dhabi before going to the Ferrari World. I first saw the Etihad Towers which is right across the street from Emirates Palace hotel, then Corniche beach and The grand mosque.
The Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a spectacular creation made up of white marble with beautiful domes and minarets. There are a million sparkling gold-plated chandeliers as well, reflecting golden light around the mosque. Note, the dress code is strictly enforced here; women are expected to cover their heads and wear the black abaya. Men should wear long-sleeved shirts and pants.
After this, I went to the Ferrari world which is in Yas Islands. It is the largest indoor amusement park which shuts at 8 pm. One can enjoy all sorts of rides, shows, and meal.
Day 4
Time for Desert Safari! Fun ride and shows in the evening. I took a private seating area on the top where the drinks and food were served. In the normal seating area- one will have do self service. Though I enjoyed my day but the food in the evening was not at all something I was expecting it to be. Thankfully I was carrying few snack packs in my backpack. The day ended and I returned back to the hotel.
Day 5
The relaxation day- it was time for the cruise and shopping. I took a yacht from Dubai Marina which was a 2 hour ride. The experience was quite adventurous as I sat on the deck while the yacht was at a high speed cutting through the waves. After that I went back to the Dubai Mall and did some shopping.
I took a late night flight back to Delhi.
Hope you enjoyed! Have a nice day :)
